Narration (कथन)

Narration शब्द जिसका अर्थ कथन होता है,की उत्पत्ति “narration” verb से हुई है /

जिस वाक्य से पूर्ण रूप से कथन की पुष्टि हो तो उसे ‘narration’ कहते है /

Narration दो प्रकार के होते है –

·        Direct Narration /Speech (प्रत्यक्ष कथन)

·        InDirect Narration /Speech (अप्रत्यक्ष कथन)

 

Ø Direct Narration /Speech (प्रत्यक्ष कथन) -: जिस वाक्य में वक्ता अपनी बातो को सीधे ढंग से दोहरा दे, उसे Direct Narration /Speech कहा जाता है /

जैसे -: Ram says, “I am a boy.”

Ø InDirect Narration /Speech (अप्रत्यक्ष कथन) -: जिस वाक्य में वक्ता अपनी बातो को सीधे ढंग से न कहकर केवल उसका हाव-भाव या सारांश प्रकट करे तो उसे InDirect Narration /Speech कहते है /

जैसे -: Ram says that he is a boy.

 Narration में दो Clause होते है –

·        जो भाग comm(,) से end (अंत) होता है, उसे Reporting verb speech कहा जाता है /

Example -: He says, “I am eating.” अर्थात (Reporting verb) है /

·        जो भाग inverted comma(“ ’’) के अंदर हो उसे Reported speech कहते है /

Example -: He says, “I am eating.” अर्थात (Reported speech) है /

Narration मुख्यत: sentence के पाच भेदों पर आधारित है /

ü Assertive

ü Interrogative

ü Imperative

ü Optative

ü Exclamatory

Direct  से  InDirect बनाने का खास नियम -:

·        यदि Reporting verb Present/Future tense में रहे तो Reported speech के form पर tense का कोई प्रभाव नही पड़ता है /

·        केवल Reported speech के Person आवश्यकतानुसार बदलते है, लेकिन Number और Case नही बदलते है /

·        यदि Reporting speech Past tense में हो तो Reported speech का tense भी प्रभावित होता है, और निम्नलिखित ढंग से बदलता है /

Ø Present Indefinite बदलता है Past Indefinite में /

Ø Present Continuous बदलता है Past Continuous में /

Ø Present Perfect बदलता है Past Perfect में /

Ø Present Perfect Continuous बदलता है Past Perfect Continuous में /

Ø Past Indefinite बदलता है Past Perfect में /

Ø Past Continuous बदलता है Past Perfect Continuous में /

Ø Past Perfect बदलता है Past Perfect में /

Ø Past Perfect Continuous बदलता है Past Perfect Continuous में /

(1)Can  -  Could    (2)   May  -  Might    (3) Ghall  -  Should    (4) This  -  That

    (5)These  -  Those (6)  Now  -  Then   (7)   Tomorrow  -  Next day

(8) Yesterday  -  The previous day    (9)  To night  -  That night        

(10)Next day -  Following day   (11)Thus  -  So     (12) Here  -  There     

(13)Hence  -  Thence  (14)Today  -   Thatday   (15) Ago  -  Before 

    (16)Hither  -  Thither

Indirect बनाते समय Inverted comman के भीतर के Person निम्न ढंग से Referकरते है /

S O N       First person  -  Subject      Second person  -  Object
